The purpose of the GIF continues to be the promotion of registrations and transfers of AMHA geldings by increasing their value through a monetary incentive encouraging their exhibition in the show arena. The GIF is intended to be self-sustaining by means of nomination fees paid by the participants. As available, other sources of funding may be used to supplement the prize money available for payout.
***All Gelding Incentive Fund and Ultimate Gelding nominations are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another horse***
There is a payout for the TOP TEN geldings in each of the following five (5) Categories:

You may nominate your gelding in up to 4 of the 5 categories offered!
Geldings participating in the GIF must be nominated annually. You may nominate your gelding for a non-refundable fee at anytime during the show-year through the start of the first class of the World Show. All participants must turn in a GIF Nomination form to the office before the start of the nominated geldings first class at the World Show in order to be eligible for GIF awards. All nomination fees go into the general gelding fund and are not maintained by a specified class or division.
Nomination fees turned in before the World Show close of entries are as follows:

3+ Categories: $40/category
Late nominations of $50 per category/per horse will be accepted up to the start of the first class of the AMHA World Show.

Funds for the top ten winners for each category of the GIF will be allocated per the distribution schedule of:
1) 25%, 2) 20%, 3) 15%, 4) 11%, 5) 9%, 6) 6%, 7) 5% , 8) 4%, 9) 3%, 10) 2%
The following also applies to the GIF:
-
1) All AOTE and YOTE rules and restrictions apply to the AOTE and YOTE gelding classes.

2) AMHA rules concerning leased horses apply to all GIF divisions.
-
3) GIF award checks will be mailed to GIF winners no later than December 31st of the current show year.
Pledges are currently being accepted for the Gelding Incentive Fund. If you are interested in contributing, you can pay by check or fill out the Gelding Incentive Donation Fund Reservation Form and the AMHA office will invoice you. Any pledge amount would be appreciated.
