PERFORMANCE FUTURITY NEWS
The Performance Futurities are being discontinued. This was decided by the Performance Committee at the 2023 Annual Meeting. They will continue until they run out. Please see the Performance Futurity page for more details and updated nominations forms. They will most likely be replaced with Jackpot Classes at the World Show where a percentage of the entry fee is given out to the top finishers.
Important Accounts Receivable Policies Effective July 1, 2023
-
A $20.00 fee will be added to all work that is not accompanied with payment in full or a payment method indicated. For example, "PayPal, Use CC On File, Use ACH On File, QuickBooks Invoice." Failure to pay within 14 days will result in the $20 surcharge.
-
Declined credit cards will get one contact from the AMHA office and given 14 days to pay or a $20 surcharge will be added to the invoice.
-
A 1.5%/month late fee will be assessed on all invoices that are 30 days or more past due.
-
Returned check fee is $50. Three returned checks will result in being put on a cash, money order, or credit card only basis.
-
Payment in full must accompany Regional and World Show entries. Trainers are responsible for having client credit cards sent in with their paperwork or trainers will be charged and can then collect the fees from their clients. Trainers are responsible to ensure that their clients have paid in full at the end of the show or the trainer will be responsible for the client's bill.

Make sure your paperwork is in order - leases, owner transfers, temp to perms, and stallion changes must be done before you show. DNA kits are now being emailed directly from the lab at UC Davis. The sending email address is amha-kit-reply@vgl.ucdavis.edu P. If we have to send the kit additional times, the sending email address changes to support@vgl.ucdavis.edu. Please put these email addresses in your contacts, so they don't get rejected or go to spam. If you need your kit mailed instead of emailed, please let us know when you order your kit. We are emailing Membership and Amateur cards, so please add our email address, memberservices@amha.org to your email contacts so our emails don't end up in your Junk/Spam folders. Remember, we do NOT need photos for Transfers unless the horse is also going Permanent or being registered for the first time. We have put a place for an Owner Transfer on the back, so you do not need to send us an Owner Transfer form. If you have any questions at all, please email info@amha.org.
In order to receive your membership cards, DNA kits, and notices from AMHA,
please add @amha.org as an email contact!!

MORTON BUILDINGS
The legacy of Morton Buildings, Inc. consists of a long history of innovation. The roots of the company go back to 1903, when Interlocking Fence Company was formed by John Getz, Sr., who was at the helm until his sudden death in 1925. He was succeeded by his son Joe A. Getz, president from 1925 to 1963. Under the guidance of Joe A. Getz and John Getz, Sr., a single hardware store located in Morton, Illinois was transformed into a fence manufacturing company.
The company then began manufacturing grain handling and storage products that made the task of increasing farm productivity easier for their customers. As farm machinery began to grow in size and utilization, the need to house and protect the farm machinery and provide livestock shelter began to grow exponentially.
In the late 1940’s, Henry A. Getz, at the age of 28, while working for his father as a sales consultant, had the foresight to add simple farm buildings to the business, which set the foundation of the company we know today as Morton Buildings.
